Should I upgrade or sell my mac?

I'm currently running on 10.6.8 and it still works fine for me apart from not being able to update some software e.g safari.

However, it's already about 7 years old thereabout. Should I go through the trouble of updating my OS yet again or just get a new mac?

How much do you think I can sell my machine for?

Sell and buy new MAC. Upgrade not worth it. A lot of software cannot update or install.
