Ship to SG costs is one thing, if the set you ordered is DOA, you will have to folk out additional fees to ship back to the seller and have it re-shipped back to Singapore again.
Price would be near 199 too
I'm thinking aloud for ship to SG costs - since Hong Kong prices and US prices are the same, so... shipping to HK from US is free, while shipping from US to SG costs a heck of a lot?
I'm also thinking aloud for DOA - I should pay 1/2 the price as insurance against DOA? What are the odds of a DOA? If the odds are high enough to justify 50% of selling price, then I think I should be spending my money elsewhere, since this brand then has a potential quality issue.
Additionally, can anyone confirm if Shure's products come without an international warranty? Warranty coverage is only by distro only and not by Shure? If I am paying an substantial amount for this warranty, and apparently, this amount is higher than in other countries - what is the differentiating factor?
Is there some sound reasoning that I'm missing?

At its sole option, Shure will repair or replace the defective product and promptly return it to you. In order for this warranty to be valid, the consumer must, at the time the product is returned, provide proof of purchase in the form of the original purchase receipt directly from Shure or from a Shure-authorized reseller. If Shure elects to replace the defective product, then Shure reserves the right to replace the defective product with another product of the same model or a model of at least comparable quality and features in Shure’s sole determination.

So it doesn't matter as long as I purchase from an Shure-authorized reseller?
