From this I understand people who applied below 6k got in full, but what about people who applied let's say 100k or 50k, I am assuming they also got 6k only, but it is not clear from this.

There is a table in that PDF that makes it clear. People who applied for $7k to $100k each got $6k, people who applied for $101k to $200k got $7k and so on. Everyone who applied was allocated something. Of course, as a different issuer, SIA can choose not to do that.

Thanks I see it now. It is not worth blocking such a big amount just for another 1 or 2k extra. I think max 10k investment is fine.

if most people apply for small amounts, then those who apply for big amounts may well get a lot more.
so most just whack the max they can afford, because "FOMO"
guaranteed there will be a few who press for more than >$1m at the ATM :s13:

Sorry, I have a newbie question. So after 5 years when the bond matures, what would happen to the bonds we have purchased?

Will the bonds then be automatically "sold" or released back to the issuing company through our CDP account and we get back the original price we paid for during the IPO?

Cos after 5 years, the company doesn't pay interest to the bonds anymore and so they have no more value but those bonds can actually be traded like normal stocks and they can't just suddenly disappear or vanish to zero dollar. So I wondered how usually would these bonds be after maturity?

you shouldn't buy if you don't understand bonds.

If one's company is bankrupt, bond holders can say goodbye to their funds, same as shareholders. IF the company's only having lousy profit or loss, payment goes to bond holders first, then shareholders last.

Correct me if I am wrong. :D:D

I know for the Temasek 2.7% bonds at the end of 5 year period, the total principal amount of money will be auto-credited into our GIRO-linked bank account with the CDP.

So for this SIA 3.03% Bonds is it also the same arrangement, that is at the end of the 5 year period, will the total principal amount of money be auto-credited into our GIRO-linked bank account with the CDP?!

Or is it SIA will send us a cheque instead?!

Unless they did not default payment, if not will be either auto credit to your bank account or issue cheque to you.

No.

My earlier question is at the end of the 5 years will SIA auto-credit the principal amount into our GIRO-linked banck account with CDP or will they just sent a cheque to our house??!

Because I will be staying in England from 2023 onwards. Hence if SIA mail the cheque to my singapore's house address in 2024, then is very inconvenient.

If your dividends are credited directly to your bank account, the principal sum will also be credited to your bank account at maturity.

If you have been receiving your dividends by cheque, you will also receive a cheque at maturity.

Sustainable rate at abt 3 percent only. Safer. Hyflux gave a much higher rate, clof course not sustainable n still got ppl greedy go chiong lol
This sia one better track record and safer bet.
If sia give 5 percent, u dare buy? Safe Bonfs give lower returns coz everyone know it's safe!
