Yes they included this option last year. Everything can do via ib

IIRC, past 2-3 years, DBS gave rebate for SRS top up for existing accts, while my impression for the other 2 banks promo is to attract new acct opening & to buy their products using SRS

Moi tempted to move fr uob to dbs... but dunno how long it takes to move. The promo is only for first x number of dbs customers...

Hope DBS or POSB come in and update if the first 2000 pax quota has been reached....

People looking at transferring srs acct...

"If you have any Share Counters inside the old SRS acct, there may a charge payable to CDP of $10.70 (inclusive of GST) per share counter to transfer between old bank opeartor to DBS. (This is not applicable for Unit Trusts)."

Was told may take 2-3 weeks to complete process

thanks, i opened the SRS account online, and transferred on the first day of promo, hope to get the credit :D

Yeah can do online to do funds transfer, think u need to show up at branch to do SRS account porting to another bank though..

the TnC for DBS promo nvr actually mentions the first 2000 customers condition...

anyone swop from uob to dbs before? how long does the transfer take for one without any shares counters, only some cash in the uob srs account?

Beside from the promo gift, what's the benefit to convert to dbs?

uob has been waiving the fees for years. not sure about dbs, can't find this info from their website.
