well.. it doesnt really matter to me or anyone who are gonna build a brand new system. cos they will always match u the lowest price or give u even better price u can find in SLS.

This is the same policy that VP has now - went there a couple days ago. Was quite peeved with the arrangement, so I decided to buy somewhere else even though it was more expensive.

Looks like SLS is taking some international effect.

Yes I was taken by surprise. I accompany a friend who wanted to get hardware. So we decided to check if they had stock for a bundle. We settled at mynext... got what we needed without further unnecessary surprises. And no more Tradepac anymore. For the little savings, definitely not worth the surprise.

FYI. Their price list has a lot of OOS and obsolete mobo. They have them listed even when they do not have the stock. And then they will recommend you a more expensive item. What a waste of time.

Looking forward to Amazon BF deals in time to come.

Misleading Pricelist, bait and switch tactics plus making you pay extra for absolutely nothing.
I rather use this money to pay for forwarding.

- OOS because in high demand
- OOS because lazy check if got stock
- OOS because lazy take stock and sell it to you
- OOS because they don't like your face
- OOS because they got other people (paying more than you) to entertain
- OOS because got too many people in the shop
- OOS because they really OOS

I don't consider myself a PC hardware beginner, and I will never buy from Tradepac. Save my saliva and prevent myself from getting more white hair talking to Tradepac personnel.

Also doesnt help that there are more and more greenhorns visiting TP because of recommendations here for cheapest price without heeding the disclaimers, and then making similar threads/post as this when taken aback by their "out-of-the-box" operating methods

As mentioned by many, Tradepac is for those who know their stuff. I've always found the boss and his staff to be very friendly and can engage in some light banter. But I never tried asking if I can just buy the CPU+MB alone.
