Hi all, just got posted to stagmont for signal course. For signal there is 3 difference courses. IC1/IC2/IS.

I am in the IS course. Would like to know if anybody here know whats the life of a IS signal after posting out to unit. What is the normal activities there, need to do SOC/VOC? and what is the job scope of the IS signal ?

IS Signals is the most relax 1 so dont worry.. whether u need to go SOC/VOC or not depends on the unit

Basically during your 2 months in Stagmount, it's all about studying. And occasional PTs which aren't even half as fierce as it was during BMT.

There's no SOC, but there should be IPPT for you.

Pity that there's no more ninja break at CSTH

As opposed to IC 2 boys who mostly go on to serve in Infantry/Guards/Armour/etc units, 16C4I is a relatively better place.

If your brethren at 16C4I aren't convinced, ask if they want to trade with the IC2 boys at 1 SIR just below them.

PS: I did the bulk of my time with 16C4I's predecessor~

I can tell u IS still > IC2 / IC1 whether they support recon or not

It's true IS is definitely still the best but it's not gonna be exactly as relaxing as everyone is saying

I know for myself is from IC2 and my appointment is the one that suffers the most

Is can be posted to stAy out unit like HQ level kind.
But majority pes c, got lucky pes a/b too.
