if unverified then what is your purpose in posting? To cause misinformation?
to start an intellectual discourse on said subject, and to raise awareness in general

it was never my intent to spread any form of misinformation.

science must be questioned.

When it comes to health and safe, don't anyhow speculate.

You should understand the seriousness of its implication.

there is no speculation, but studies done to shed light on current situation.

Science is supposed to be challenged, questioned, tested, and scrutinised.

crtital thinking should therefore be encouraged, everyone will learn along the way and society as a whole will benefit.

EDMW and critical thinking?

LOL I think the thread is just filled with 95% thrash posts that just poke and make fun of the vaxx.

I think it's possibly 1 reason why Mod had locked.

Maybe you should try posting without the unverified tags.

The opinion are of the author's and they are drawing from data and sources that are verified (e.g. UK Office for National Statistics)

We were having a good fruitful discussion just on the UK data alone with @Senna Wales with some interesting exchange about why 3rd dose data is looking odd.

Even the immune "damaging" part is not just some wild speculation that is not back by studies or physiological mechanism of actions. Thought, we won't call it immune damaging which is quite alarming, but more of immunological changes, though it's likely many people don't read that far in to understand how it all links up or to understand why these effects do occur. Most would just take it at face value and dismiss it as some stray conspiracy theory or fake news...

The truth is probably somewhere in the middle.

But well, you gotta know your audience, most people just rely on mainstream news articles and won't even look into the studies informing these news articles, even if they do look into the studies, sometimes it's just the "abstract" or "conclusion" section.

Then you have people who don't have the basic pre-requisite knowledge and/or subject mastery to understand certain concepts, e.g. polyclonal T cell responses and how it also helps reduce disease severity or can't go beyond basic semantics to understand the underlying reason as to why 2 different studies can produce results that corroborate one another.

Due to this knowledge gap which exist at all levels in this forum, you can be sure the safest thing to do is to shut down any discussion which is perceived or reported to be "controversial".

In the paper here, in Denmark, you can see the opposite from UK. In DK, boostered people are half as likely to be infected. Why do 2 countries have opposite results?

Here's a science lesson for you. As I mentioned in the previous thread, there are always many reasons for something, and it's foolish to generalise findings to a larger population without doing extra work to eliminate confounding. What differences do UK and DK have, must find out first, then work out the things that actually affect the number of infections. It is either incompetency or hubris that we're not doing our own studies on what's the best way to do things for us. We simply cannot look at other countries and say that it applies to us.

I've also mentioned in the past, pump more vaccines inside you don't really do anything, and why boosters are pointless. Boosters are for making more antibodies, but the virus escape them. No use. The thing that is working is T cells which your body should already have from your 2 shots. These T cells will be there for decades, don't need to top up one.

And finally OYK's big mistake, home recovery for Omicron. Household transmission is the leading cause of COVID spreading.

sure I think you can have alternate views but that doesn’t mean they are correct?

I quote from the wiki site

Such manuscripts have yet to undergo peer review and the site notes that preliminary status and that the manuscripts should not be considered for clinical application, nor relied upon for news reporting as established information

If it was accurate and all I would think msm would have blew it up if not strait times others would question the approach. Just a food for thought.

This I agree. (Bold)

But whether booster needed or not, or even if vaccination needed at all, there's no end to this saga. Some anti-vaxers or reluctant vaxers have a religious fervour in their beliefs that cannot be shaken, until and unless the actually contract the virus and suffer the worse outcomes. Mild ones won't do either.

But I just wanna touch on what you said the first 2 vaccines should be good enough for decades. Yes that's true for most jabs. But not all. For instance I take a flu jab (even before this Covid started). But every year or so, I take it again. And yes no flu for 2 years plus now (which I would get at least twice a year without fail)

Why should I continue taking it, it should last right? Yes, for some people but not all. The current vaccines are not the best and not 100% effective. If you're old as me, you would know we had to take all sorts of vaccines when we were growing up and further doses. Typhoid, cholera, the mosquito diseases - dengue, malaria. Dunno if we had to take the polio jab too? But we did take quite a few and further doses.

So perhaps it's just to be on the safe side that boosters should be taken. Even now, we may have to take a few more maybe 4-5, who knows?
The question would be, do you want to chance by not taking, believing you can overcome it if it strikes? Or the first 2 is enough?
There is no need to argue for or against, let people decide. But it would highly irresponsible for any Govt not to push for its implementation.

That's my view. Anyway, this is a discussion for EDMW not here. But I was just answering what you wrote.

You can see that boosters are a bad enough reason that 2 of the FDA's vaccine review directors quit, and this comes from both FDA and WHO, not some random "experts". And never mind experts, there's no actual evidence that says we need boosters, it's government officials from around the world, people like OYK with no medical expertise, deciding that it's the right thing to do because it looks or feels right, and not having boosters means that the situation will look bad as the pandemic worsens. Which it is, but the reason is because of no lockdown measures to break chains of transmission, not because of immunity, but that's a different discussion.

Why doesn't the flu vaccine last very long? Why is it not 100% effective? Because the strains that you took the jabs for (both flu and COVID) in the past no longer exist. In the US, they even have the wrong vaccine for this flu season. But measles etc. don't mutate at all.

https://www.livescience.com/flu-shot-bad-match-influenza-b.html
But it's still not a complete failure. There's still protection even with a mismatch.

"But that doesn't mean this year's vaccine is worthless; to the contrary, some data suggest that being vaccinated against one influenza B subgroup strain protects against other influenza B subgroup strains."

This links back to the above article about T cells. Our immune system doesn't work through antibodies alone. And the antibodies themselves don't stop developing when the vaccine disappears from your body, so there's no need to "refresh" your body's "memory" with new vaccines. Here's an article explaining it.
