I don't follow commodities, what's the reason for silver being snapped up?

Because its one of those commodities that has been heavily shorted by institutional investors and people are trying to rally together to cause a silver short squeeze just like AMC and GME stock.

If you are currently holding physical silver, I would say hold onto it and enjoy the ride up.
