Hi all, I'm a new student attending Computing and Information Systems coming September 2017. Have made a few enquiries to student services and would like to share information I have gotten. This is for sgreans and first-time uni students that are worried (and impatient) like I do.
My current situation:
I have received mymail login details late and my SIM Connect is not updated with timetable schedule yet, neither have I received UOL offer letter and UOL application / initial registration fee. I have no clue where should I proceed and was just waiting for days to pass.
With 3 emails enquiry worth, here's the collected response;
About course fee payment:
I enquired if I need to pay the lump sum straight or do I pay by instalments,
And then I tried again:
If you have read the handbooks in SIM Connect, it talks about tapping your card for attendance taking. So I wondered what is this card they are talking about:
Last but not least, I would like to highlight this piece of information:

No, my Welcome Pack is dated March 2015 and provides the already known payment methods and speaking nothing about course fees breakdown.Your need not make payment in full for your programme. You may refer to the Welcome Pack in your SIMConnect to view the breakdown of fees.
And then I tried again:
Once your subject allocation for your Timetable is completed, the invoice will be generated.
You can only make payment when the invoice is ready ( view it under SIMconnect / Campus Finance ) and to pay by the deadline which is around mid-August 2017.

Student will be issued a SIM Student Card and not student pass as you are a Singaporean.
We will notify you on the collection of your SIM card when it is ready.
In the meantime do continue to check your Mymail and SIMconnect for programme updates.

Do attend the enrolment talk on 16th August 2017. You will be briefed on the UOL regulations, programme structure, types of payment, when and to whom payment needs to be made to as well as time-table. Keep a look out for the enrolment talk briefing details in your sim email as well as SIMConnect.
