Sim lim or online?

Looking to buy a new PC because my current one is 5 years old and making noises. Saw this on Dynacore's website:

I prefer to get it from one shop so any recommendations? I think I got my current one from PCThemes, the one before from Fuwell?

I feel like you're overpaying by at least $400 for this system given the parts tbh. But then again that's entirely dependent on whether or not you can find a reasonably priced GPU so idk.

I know the guys from Dynacore, they are a nice bunch. But I am sure you can get a slightly better price if you hunt around. Think the best benefit for Sim Lim is you get your PC on the day itself.

Price wise, I am sure you can probably find cheaper RAM on Amazon for example. Shopee also has a lot of these parts for very little margin. But I like to support the shops at Sim Lim. It's like a national monument.

Speaking from experience do not buils your system from carousell.i rather just go sim lim and get it assembled there

Went down to sim lim, there's a shortage of 3070/3070Ti, most are quoted at 14xx-17xx. So I came home and bought online instead.

Just download their pricelist and add up everything that's listed above except for the GFX. Then you can see how much roughly you're paying or the RTX3070Ti. Then compare with how much others were able to get an RTX3070Ti standalone if any.

I had the same question a few months back. I would suggest you buy from Sim Lim, because they have the bundle of CPU + MB and GPU. Buying other parts online would be cheaper but then you won't be able to buy the bundled parts as cheap as with SLS.

i was thinking of those PC assemblers on Carousell.....a number of them have many good reviews......like Excelsior, Catech, Athena, Define, etc...........can those reviews be trusted ?

Their shop in Sim Lim operate quite long liao i think? Anyway, they have many store units on level 5 so probably doing quite well.
Order on Sunday got it on Monday, items were as advertised, nicely installed and boxes given.

i was thinking of those PC assemblers on Carousell.....a number of them have many good reviews......like Excelsior, Catech, Athena, Define, etc...........can those reviews be trusted ?

My experience was pretty bad. Fans were old And spoilt after a week. The cpu was overheating because the assembler did bother to update bios plus didnt install chipset driver. He also forgot to feel the plastic off the cpu cooler causing my cpu temps to hit 80c on idle. End up i had to bring my pc to nigel to fix up.

what a nightmare........so getting Nigel to fix up desktop should be a safe bet ?

Nowdays, cos of GPU shortage, it's alot easier to buy a bundled system from sim Lim or from prebuilt aftershock etc.
