SIM Only plan with Support

I currently have three SIM Only plans with M1, for myself, my sister, and my mom. Due to an upcoming overseas assignment spanning two years, I plan to keep the existing SIMs. However, the current cost of $15.95 plus $5 for Caller ID per SIM, totaling $62.85 per month for all three plans, seems expensive. Consequently, I am considering switching to an alternative SIM Only plan. Unfortunately, prepaid options are not viable, as I am unable to port my decade-old postpaid number and prefer not to change it.

My specific requirements are as follows:

1. I need to receive SMS Alerts, OTPs for SMS authentication while abroad. I do not require outgoing calls, incoming calls, or data during my overseas stay.
2. For my sister and mom, I seek a plan that provides reasonable data speed within Singapore.
3. Additionally, it is crucial that I can access support within a day through email, chat, or any available means in case of any issues.

Considering these needs, I would appreciate your recommendation for a suitable SIM Only plan.

If you need support, don't even consider any of MVNOs which means your only choices will be SingTel / Starhub / Simba.

In my opinion, the illusion of support is useless because the few times I actually need to contact telco are for minor, non urgent stuff which I can afford to wait. In cases of real urgency like network outage, call support is again not useful until engineers fix the problem. Better to use the savings from cheaper plans for dual sim setup redundancy.

Doubt any telcos, MNO or MVNO provides full resolution within a day. But contacting them and logging tickets for issues within a day should not be an issue for most, if not all? Whether there’s swift response within a day is another question.
