Hi, so my long term dilemma has brought me here... but i have to make my decision in the next 2 days!!
so really appreciate it anyone can provide some insights/ help make this decision easier!!
I’m planning to take up part time studies while working as a digital marketer, but the company is an SME so it has just started to want to get into the social media side, i.e instagram. Currently, my company is focusing on ecommerce but not so much on the typical marketing aspect of business yet. Sooo not really sure if i can get the relevant experience as a marketer, but might change my job if theres no progression in terms of marketing.
If I were to enroll into Kaplan, it would be a bachelor of business, double major in marketing and web communications under Murdoch, which i feel is a good combination for career prospect, and maybe i can even go into something along the lines of web designing (another career path). But then again, idk if it is necessary for a marketer. As for SIM, it would be a bachelor of business in marketing (single major) under RMIT.
So my main concern is the content that the school offers and reputation.
Content - kaplan goes by trimesters, but sure if the content of the module is short changed cause there will only be 7 lessons x 3hrs for each module (becus lessons for core modules are held every alternate week). SIM goes by semesters but not sure if lessons for each module will be held every week or if its the same as kaplan. In terms of modules offered, i would say its pretty similar to SIM’s??
Reputation - even though both of them are private schools, SIM is known to be more recognised locally and idk if it affects the starting salary (if i do change my job and start on my new job next year), as well as employability in the market.
PLS HELP!!! disclaimer: yes, i didnt do my due diligence and research enough on SIM cause i actually wanted to enroll into kaplan alr but the reputation **** got to me....
