Transferring from UOL to RMIT

Hi Guys,

I actually applied for july 2018 RMIT business mgmt but I requested to transfer some of the mods which I managed to clear in UOL. Does anyhow know what are the chances that they can exempt me from a few mods which I've alrdy took it in UOL and passed? Thanks

Hi RMIT peeps, I just finished my ns and currently stuck between studying in RMIT or UOL.

Anyone mind sharing what's the pull factor of rmit that made you choose it over UOL or other schools and any relevant info about rmit:s12: thx:s12:

I think RMIT, all the expenses are fixed but for UOL, there are still other expenses like exams. RMIT quite relax with 3 hours of lecture everyday and it's great. It's quite easy to pass coming from someone like me who has a Poly GPA of 2.8. In conclusion, RMIT is a better choice.

Well, in the workplace, I would say mostly depend on your performance not your certs. If you can sell credit cards or loans, even if you are only O'levels, you can go far. Cannot sell, from MIT also cannot save your job.

For studying method factor, RMIT consist of quiz / assignments (group and individual) / final exams. However, combination are based on modules as some might have 2 assignments + finals or 1 quiz, 1 assignment and finals etc

UOL, mug for the whole year and go for prelims (can opt out) and finals. but i do heard that some do have quizes but not sure if it does add up to the final score.

Generally, RMIT is similar to poly while UOL is similar to JC.

Does anyone who's taking RMIT business know which minors I can pick that aren't going to kill me off?

Currently am taking marketing major

Can confirm. UOL according to my friend is a pressure cooker and he can't cope properly, he's stressed out of his mind

In need of help

Hi I graduated with very bad A lvl cert of CDS/DA and got rejected by all local U's that I have tried applying for this year. I'm wondering if I could get into A&F (UOL or RMIT) with my results as RMIT requires 3 H2 passes... Would be grateful to get a reply asap >.<

The curriculum is one factor - UOL is more "JC style" you mug entire year and your fate depends on that 1 final exam (at Expo somemore...:s22:)
RMIT is assignments, and exams - more "poly style".

Relevant dip got exemptions, so you can complete it faster. If you fail, you just retake that module for one sem, as compared to UOL you need to spend an entire year for that one mod.

Some of my friends in UOL either transfer to RMIT and still grad faster (coz they keep failling and having to retake mods in UOL), or just give up on the honours coz grades cmi, but still spend extra few years.

Other friends manage to do well and no need retake at all.

so really depends on which style you prefer and if honours is a big deal for you or not.
