hello~ first year business student here. would just like to ask when registering with UOL, for the 2nd part (Course/Module Selection) do i only select those modules that i'm currently taking this year or all modules that i'm going to take?

for instance, up for selection are the "(1-5) 100 courses" which includes:
1. POA
2. Intro to Econs
3. Maths 1
4. Stats 1
5. IBM
6. Principles of Sociology

if i'm only taking the first 5 modules this year (meaning taking sociology in year 2), do i need to select sociology as well when registering?

please help - want to get this registering over and done with. TIA!! :D

Only choose subjects that you are taking this year.

can someone share on how to access ecr? :s22:

i tried accessing the tutorial on how to enroll for classes but the page doesnt show the oracle player (just blank). Tried to view on both chrome and IE... do i have to dl the oracle player? :s22:

also for those in sept intake, are we only able to know the diff lecturers class schedules when enrolling for SSCE? Or is there someway for us to check b4hand so that we can plan? (like knowing when balwant conducts poa lects on etc)

Hi :) Anybody in Bernard Ong's class?

I noticed that he tends to teach us certain examples but end up saying that they're not tested in exams and if we don't understand, it's okay can just forget about it :s22:

Does anyone know how to solve the practice question found in Manfred's Econs Notes, Topic 2?
part a shouldn't be a problem as the ppf is quite straightforward. (b) and (c), my answers are 0 for both of them. For (b) it's producing on s contraint so there's no opportunity cost. Likewise for (c) it's producing on k constraint, also no opportunity cost. So both (b) and (c) should be zero. For (d), my ans is 160Y.

Correct me if I'm wrong

cos at part (a) my PPF very weird. the k constraint on the Y(vertical) 0to200 and s constraint on X(horizontal)0to180

yup. he says its to keep lessons interesting for those who already took maths before uol & know their stuff. So they can approach maths in a different way then taught in school. then he will say how he learnt it in school vs the method he now teaching.

For me I think he should just concentrate on those who dunt know much of maths 1, because being bored isnt worse than being clueless. From the other uol thread heard he used to teach slowly for poly students.......what happened:s11:
