Hello!!

Very glad to have rediscovered HWZ and come across this thread! Was panicking about UOL cause everything is going so fast and so difficult!

I was just wondering, do you all happen to know if there is tuition available --- in particular for Maths 1, Stats 1 and Intro to Econs? I saw this SD Economist tuition ad, but I'm not that interested cause it is a large group.

Is there anyone who does 1-on-1 or small group tuition, and what do you all think is a fair price for uni-level tuition (while I can pay, I also don't want to be carrot head!) Please advice, thank you very very much in advance!

Me last yr am thinking of joining the econs group but in the end didn't join. I studied on my own and got a decent grade for econs. Guess u will have to put in effort and study hard. But they also got help me and therefore credits to them as well.

Hi, Yeah. I received confirmation that payment was made, and they mentioned like they will be sending me another e-mail when they dispatch the package.. But have yet to receive that one...

I got my study guides! 4.18KG of it!
But they didn't send me a e-mail telling me its been dispatched or whatever.. Just so you know. It'd magically appear. Unless you're not home, then you're gonna have to go to the post or something to collect it yourself. The Econs one is 2x thicker than the rest of the books.. Can go knock wall already. Lol.

I went to ask student services, they said ignore the "term break" info, we should check the "personalised timetable" tab instead for our weekly schedule.
Based on my timetable, our real 1 wk of break is coming up in nov.

There is indeed a lot of text that will make you bleary-eyed. But that's already the condensed version-- you should check out his accompanying book where he goes on forever. There are certain funny parts though, like the PPF chapter where the wife hits the farmer on the head and then his neighbour

haha no lah! i think if Tiffany tutor me, I'll be too busy staring at her. Although very glad to pay tuition fees!!

I have a friend's friend's friend (wah quite far away). His CV very zai -- he has a First Class Honours from Oxford, Masters in Economics from Cambridge, and he was a relief teacher in JC for six months before he went for undergraduate. He also apparently quite patient and can explain things well.

What do you think is a fair per-hour price to pay him ah, to tutor me Intro to Econs/Maths I/Stats I. I really don't know anything siah, ask me play DOTA okay, study really cannot.
