Lol, im a foreign student myself and i dont understand why Singaporeans think we are treated better than local. In fact, its worse than what u know
just to let u know
our uni application fees is damn ex. Local SGD 86.50, foreigner SGD 267.50.
and the worst thing is, foreign students got to follow the ICA rules. My name was under the sg criminal record twice, for overstaying and forget to extent my student pass. And the penalty is extremely heavy u know that...3 years of jail and how many strokes of the cane or something. now see if we foreigners are treated better than locals.
last time when i was in JC, same thing. my schoolfees are 350/month whereas my local friends only need to pay 30/month...now beat that
so u see, u locals should feel lucky u know that
i think u are unreasonable.
based on the uni application fees u provided (cos i also dunno what the fees are now), i must admit that locals are paying lesser. but have u consider why u are paying more? perhaps the sim admin got to do more checks and stuff? u are making them do more work, dun need to pay???
and as for violating the ICA rules, i think every country also got laws and regulations that must be followed. if sg student go other country to study, they will also be subj to some kind of rules (CMIIW). so how are we lucky compared to u? it will be unlucky of us if we are subj to rules even in our own country.
and of course,
it's ur responsibility to remb to extent ur student pass. who can u blame for not doing so when u are aware that it's so impt? i hope u are not trying to test the sys. moreover u say u are on the criminal record twice, if the first time u genuinely forget u will definitely be remb of the consequences. so by forgetting to do so the second time round, what are u trying to prove? that u are defiant? that u are trying to test the sys? perhaps u shld count urself lucky that nothing happen to u

(cmiiw if u actually pay a fine). i believe many foreigners on student pass remb to extent theirs and they nvm get into any trouble with the law. mayb u shld learn to do that.
and for ur record, jc are considered to be
govt subsidized. so it's natural tat foreigners have to pay more. i hope u understand that govt-subsidized means that citizens shld get most of the benefits, or shld i say it's for the citizens. recently the govt adj the rates for the edu sys for PR to make a distinction btw the citizen and PR. so if u are a foreigner, the distinction will be more isnt it?
mayb i shld have a conclusion since is a WOT. energyliger dun self-pawn urself. what u say doesnt make sense at all.
PS i'm not against foreign students, just that i feel a need to correct ur warped thinking.
