I would appreciate if anyone could clarity this:

  • f you are overseas and making a call to a landline in Singapore, the deduction will be made from your fixed line minutes.
  • If you are overseas and making a call to a mobile line in Singapore, there will be no deduction. The service is free of charge.
does it apply to all TPG plans or only just to : SIM Only Plan 80GB and SIMBA SuperRoam Plan???
You must be in the supported destinations to use TPG 4G Voice app / native VoLTE to make calls (both incoming and outgoing).

No, you can do so on all postpaid plans: Seniors, 50GB SIM Only, 80GB SIM Only and SIMBA SuperRoam.
Not sure about 50GB Prepaid.

The calls to Singapore rates will be identical for all the plans. Free unlimited to 8/9 series numbers, deduct from talktime for other +65 numbers.

80GB SIM Only and SuperRoam have 300 mins IDD calls to certain destinations too, but again you're limited to the first point I said if u need.
Other SIM Only Plans will have the IDD charged from the account balance.

Voice Calls

To make and receive calls via VoLTE, here are the following requirements:

  • Must have supported handsets
  • Must be on supported operators
Otherwise, download TPG 4G Voice App. Currently, the app can only be used in these destinations: Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines, India, Japan and Taiwan.

If you wish to find out how your plans will be deducted, click here.

Are international calls and SMS supported?

  • Updated
You can enjoy incoming international calls and SMS for free. Your usage will be deducted as follows:
  • If you are overseas and making a call to a local line in the country you are in, the deduction will be made from your IDD minutes.
  • If you are overseas and making a call to a landline in Singapore, the deduction will be made from your fixed line minutes.
  • If you are overseas and making a call to a mobile line in Singapore, there will be no deduction. The service is free of charge.
Otherwise, outgoing international calls are available from 1¢ per 30 seconds, and 10¢ per SMS for outgoing international SMS. For more information, please refer to www.tpgmobile.sg/IDD.

Please note that only SIM Only Plan 80GB and SIMBA SuperRoam Plan come with free 300 minutes of IDD to selected countries. Click here for the full list.

No, unfortunately not. The TPG 4G Voice App will not start if you are roaming in these (Orange) countries and also if you deactivate your TPG SIM card. Error message: "This application is not supported by your network"
The only way you get it to work is when you have no reception in your roaming country, ie. you are in a basement and your mobile cannot connect to the roaming network but you do have wifi in the basement. Then you can start the TPG 4G Voice App and make calls.
If you have a SIMBA SIM Only that's still in Singapore (not on Orange France mode), you also cannot make call using that SIM?

Asking because my friend is going to US (use SIMBA SuperRoam) and I'm thinking of letting him use my SIMBA 50GB SIM Only number to make call (through TPG 4G Voice app) - I'll be in Singapore throughout the period.

I know what you're talking about, I'm finding ways to circumvent that limitation bro.

Those are likely the destinations that's under SIMBA SG profile, not Orange France.

You read what I wrote again.

Mind you, the TPG 4G Voice App will not open if it cannot find a TPG/Simba SIM Card inserted in the mobile handset. Even if you put it in, install the App and then take the SIM card out it will stop working.
I hope SIMBA will upgrade the TPG 4G Voice App soon to allow Voice Calls in all roaming countries and maybe also when you have wireless network. And supporting unrestricted global WLAN Call would be a nice feature too...

How about an incoming call to Singapore while in oversea country with 4G voice app, does it consider free incoming local call as well? or charged as roaming call?

Basement shopping malls, basement tan tock seng hospital, basement ncid, basement jewel no problems, never visited one without reception. Poor reception maybe inside industrial building/factory

There's reception even at mount faber

How about HDB coffee shops, market and hawker centres? Seem like very few here stay or visit older estates, haha.

That day I went to a coffee shop in Lor 2, Toa Payoh, TPG got very bad reception, could not use phone to pay. Need to use cash.

Earlier while queueing in the coffee shop, a friend called me using WhatsApp, when I answered, the phone just stay silent…… I was wondering why….. haha

The nearby market and hawker centre also very poor reception. Luckily got Wireless@SGx (just that I am not sure why sometimes I need to manually connect to WiFi ).

Unable to complete the full test as during upload it said check my internet connection…

I am using it as main line.

I am staying in Bukit Merah, speed wise here is very good. But once you go out of this area or town area in general, expect 10mpbs or less.

sounds like coverage is still quite bad, have they met all IMDA requirements?

I saw their Quality of Performance report and they seem to pass >99% QoP

weird that the report say 1 thing, while day to day experience by everyday ppl is another thing

I guess it really depends on ur area and where u frequent

I noticed faster speed above 20mpbs is either along road or in shopping malls in JE.

Hdb like mine further away from road abt 8-12mpbs, but can do all my stuff including watch live streaming in HD i am ok, not too particular with numbers
