Sorry no idea, as I mentioned the phone at that point of time was in the hands of Simba's staff who immediately switched the network mode to LTE/3G/2G.
I guess should be 5G non-standalone as replied by another bruh.

Folks living in north east, next time when you are at Waterway point Ntuc Finest outlet please check if you are able to get reception on your Simba 5G. When i was there recently, i got no signal on 2 separate phones using simba sim cards. This only happened when i was within the Ntuc outlet and the moment i stepped out of NTUC, i get normal reception again. Even weirder, i was at Sengkang Grand Mall this afternoon and the exact same issue happened when i was at their NTUC Finest outlet at the basement. Either Ntuc finest outlets are being built in faraday cages or Simba 5G coverage exceptionally poor in parts of north east.

anyone know how to setup giro payment for simba? their faq not much info, ibanking also cannot find simba to select

This is common. Simba limited or no signal for 4G in Bukit Merah NTUC

Simba still has coverage and capacity issue. They are not able to cope with the client base. I experienced it here and there, in MRT train or on the street.

I don't think TPG have much outdoor base. So unless they install indoor repeater then can help the coverage. But I saw quite a number of TPG repeater inside shopping complex.

I ported to Simba around mid March 2023.
This is their cell signals reception I am encountering at my 36th floor home (indoor).
No service / Emergency calls only, also repeatedly existed daily.
I have problems receiving OTP and sometimes my calls will gets dropped off in the mids of conversation.
Already communicated with Simba and now waiting for their support service to respond.

This no reception also happens in shengsiong when I wanted to use shopeepay, at yishun, bukit batok, commonwealth, Clementi west, jurong west, etc and they are not basement, at hdb void deck

But i use another phone with CL also no reception, come out of shengsiong got reception for both tpg and CL

IMHO.
My understanding is that base station usually point downwards thus on 36th floor it will be a challenge. Maybe you can try to see if you can use VoWifi i.e. tap onto your own broadband.

I have limited knowledge in this but I suppose if VoWifi can work, the SMS will work as well as TPG is purely 4G.

Me too, no idea on how to go about tapping into VoWifi.
Anyway, will wait for the response from Simba's backend staff.
