Simba increased to 50gb from 10gb roaming in Malaysia
How do I upgrade to this If im currently on the older 10gb Malaysia roaming? My plan just got renewed recently, $39/90 days deducted. By requesting change to this latest plan, I would have to pay another $39 right? I believe SImba does not do pro-rate?

They will automatically upgrade everyone. Just wait for the change or sms 4 to 1218

Also, if you can't wait and change now, let's say today.

Your current plan cycle will be changed immediately today too.

So, if you are the type who are very calculative about a few days or a few hours or even a few seconds. Then, Just wait for your current cycle ends. The upgraded plan structure will take effect automatically.

BTW, I have passed the 30 days period to avoid penalty to port out.

So, I have decided not to jump coz SIMBA speed is so much better now.

I stay with SIMBA.

Someone I know who uses SIMBA $10 plan -- went overseas sometime ago.

I was told by this person -- the trip last about 5days from 24th to 28th.

This person's SIMBA 30day cycle for that month -- happens to be renewed on 26th.

So...

From 24th to 25th, this person has 1GB FREE roaming data and...
From 26th to 28th, this person has ANOTHER FREE 1GB roaming data (due to renewal of next 30day cycle).

This person uses 0.3GB - 0.7GB mobile data each day during the trip.

In total for the entire trip -- about 2.3GB mobile data was used.

For excess data charges, SIMBA charged $4/GB for that particular country -- and charges by per 10MB used.

So for the 5day trip, excess mobile data charges -- deducted from SIMBA account was just: (2.3GB - 2GB) = 0.3GB x $4/GB = $1.20

Even this person is surprised -- by the low cost occurred for mobile data usage for the trip.

Sian. No change to the $12 plan
The $10 plan also no change. Probably they will just wait and see, if other mvno react.

Singtel and Starhub will be progressively shutting down 3G today. So hopefully, plans will be more interesting with more 5G expected. MVNOs will start benefiting soon.

I contacted SIMBA, and they claimed there is no auto upgrade. Sian, i'm only on day 10 out of 90 for my existing plan, not worth to change now.

Dear Customer,

Thank you for contacting SIMBA Customer Support.

We would like to inform you that existing subscriber of Superroam My will not be automatically transferred to the new plan. If you wish to benefit from the new entitlements, you will need to switch to the new plan. Request for Change of Plan to SuperRoam MY via https://account.simba.sg. T&Cs apply.

Do note, upon activation of the new plan, the original plan will be terminated with no refund of the remaining subscription balance. The billing account ID and Wallet Balance of the original plan remain unchanged.

Ok thank you. Let's see. Hope its not for random customers only.
I got 4 lines under Superroam MY, all 4 lines reflected 50gb MY roaming. So, I suggest u wait for u. Else sending sms to 1218 with number 2 in the body will be most up to date.

Really can ask many to join SIMBA now.

Another few spots tested. It used to be less than 12mpbs even on 5G but now they are running at 45+mlbs at the least.

Awesome improvement by SIMBA in this Q3 or so. :)
