I was planning to continue but now I not so sure. Past few days network performance was quite bad at times, so bad that I had to switch to wifi

I plan to cancel. Network sucks and i do not want to pay for a line which cannot be used on the go.

in some of my rooms, it's really slow. My M1 is even faster than tpg.

Actually, if your TPG number is nice, can port out to other $10 plans like MyRepublic or giga

1 more month to go before those first batch free trial users end their free trial.

Anyone continuing to sign their $10 plan, cancel the trial or porting out (due to good numbers)?

I plan to continue the plan as my m1 plan giving me 7gb which is not enough for me to use. Haha

Don't mind the speed to limited connections underground, otherwise it's so far okay.

But I think I have seen somewhere that we are not able to continue with the number with a paid plan, the way to continue is to sign up with a new number. Don't know how true, but shall see in the coming weeks when our trial ends.

1 May is here.

Will all the trial user get special price if they continue the plan?

Roaming counties will also be delayed to 1 June. Hopefully, they will let us know in advance what are the counties which TPG can roam.

Don't think it will be special price for trial users, because the basic $10 plan is already cheap enough.

This might have been discussed before but couldn't find it ... Can anybody remind us for this $10/month plan, is there any data cap per day after which throttled speed kicks in just like the 2Gb/day for the trial sim? Thanks thanks ...

There is no more throttle after 50 GB, which is already a very huge data plan. For $10, it is very cheap already.

I'm likely to switch over around end of the year when it's network is more robust and the signal reaches underground e.g. CTE, KPE and MCE.

From TPG:

TPG will send all free trial subscribers an email notification discussing about the (1) TPG 50GB SIM Only Plan and (2) Reminding them of their free service trial expiry date.

1 month before the expiry of the free trial account, we will send another email, this time inviting customers to renew. If there's no response from the customer, an email reminder will be sent 7 days before the free trial end. Lastly, if there is still no response received, TPG will automatically cancel the free trial account on its expiry date with no fee.

Should you wish to retain your TPG number, you will just need to reply to the email invitation and we'll take care the rest of the migration process for you to our TPG 50GB SIM Only plan.

I'm not referring to the throttled speed after the full 50Gb usage.

I'm interested to find out whether there's any daily data cap for the full 4G speed.

In other words, can I, theoretically, use, let's say, 30Gb at full 4G speed within a same day?

Thanks.

Since there’s no throttling, yes, blast away 30Gb at full speed within a same day if you wish.

I been using the TPG 50GB plan around 3GB - 4GB on zoom meeting and etc. Didn't get any slow down after hit more than 2GB a day

Thanks Bro, this info is of great help.

May I ask, for your Zoom experience, how long in minutes/hours for your 3-4Gb usage? In other words, I want to get a gauge of what's the Gb per hour needed .... Thanks thanks ...

Never receive any email on this. Less than 1 month the current trail will cease.

But the pay per use data charge of $1 for 1GB is quite a turn off. Prefer they keep the same price for what the current trial offers, 2gb 4G data/day and unlimited at throttled speed at 1Mbps.

TPG themselves already announced to batch by batch send invitation according to the ending period of the trial users to assume commercial contracts at $10.

You cannot have the best of all. They need to keep data used per person on average down in order to maintain certain quality of their network.

Circle Life $18 port over 100GB and boundless data will be the cheapest

I also don't receive the email, the last email i've received from them is the trial end on 30 May.

Their strategy might have changed, previously they might have planned to offer unlimited data and throttled speed after a certain limit, but maybe find it not feasible to offer on the long run. Or perhaps by offering 50GB data, which is much more than enough more average consumers, is good enough, hence anything after you have to top up and that is where they start earning your money.

IMHO.
Then I feel that the quality of their network is very bad.:s13:
Test just done.

Speedtest Singtel / TPG (Mbps) via NewMedia Express

Down - 59.9 vs 2.40
Up - 39.5 vs 2.36
