Aiyo I just ported my wife line into TPG from circle life. She complaint no network from Bishan to Novena MRT and the basement of TTSH. Can't get OTP also to connect to wireless sg while over there. Headache. Now got to port out again. Think will stick back to Singtel based MVNO................

Earlier they also allow porting in. And they are still using for FREE.

Just before the singtel saga.

I think paid users should realise that paying $10 is also about retaining the phone number, so they really shouldn't be angry.

Don’t you know TPG don’t have service in most train tunnels, some road tunnels and some underground buildings...? There’s a reason why everyone say this is good as a supplementary line, not main line!

U never should have used the TPG network as your main line. Network coverage is still not consistent enough.

After I had switched my dual SIM phone to use TPG for 3 weeks, my Grid Mobile usage after 3 weeks+ is 0 for all data, calls, SMS and overseas roaming. So I think TPG fits my usage pattern very well. I'm collecting my TPG SIM card this weekend.

Same experience too. I find TPG's coverage very decent, but I don't take underground MRTs usually. I feel it's even better than Starhub's coverage.

TPG speed during trial is slow. Though is 4G, actual speed is at high end of 3G only.

Waiting to see whether speed for paid plan can reach 4G+

As of now, the speed is similar to the trial speed.
But i'm only a low requirement user, got data and can stream video is enough. Don't need full 4G speed.

THE BIG SPLIT: TPG SINGAPORE TO GO IT ALONE

The new TPG will be an Australian-focused entity, with TPG to demerge from its*business in Singapore, and its shares to be distributed amongst TPG shareholders.

This part of the business is responsible for AU$1.1 million in revenue, has AU$3.8 million in cash or cash equivalents, AU$230 million in equipment, and AU$174 million in spectrum assets. The Singapore operation currently has a AU$112 million cash inflow from its parent.

A transitional service agreement will be in place during the demerger, where TPG will continue to provide, for up to three years, services including IT support and software provisioning, along with network services such as design, operation and access control configuration, corporate telephony support, and "value-added services support".

The Singapore business will get a TPG brand licence for up to two years, pending rebranding of the business, and will be listed on the ASX under the TUA ticker symbol.

TPG Singapore had 416,000 users on its network as part of a free trial, but after charging for services, that number was down to 7,000 paying customers by the end of April.
