If got the PORT-IN fail message during activation, what would be the next step ? Trying to port over my mum's singtel number to simba.

I suspect it is due to the CIS plan promo plan that ties my mum phone number to my dad's phone number.

Please be informed that your port-in request was rejected by your current service provider due to ID Mismatch, as the details submitted to SIMBA do not match your current service provider.

just receieve this though. unsure why is this happening. The number is under the same name.
How did u manage to resolve this? Nothing on simba website to advise a work around. Could a CIS plan be the cause of it ?

Since I could not proceed with activation, I do not receive any email saying port in has been submitted.

Only after I called their hotline, they did the activation for me and I received that email after. It said activation takes up to 2 days.

Now I'm still seeing Singtel line being active...
What was the issue with your unsuccessful port in ? I also receive an error during port in.

Suspect it’s due to CIS plan

What do you mean tie your mum’s phone number to your dad, who exactly has ownership of the number you are trying to port? Better contact Singtel to confirm it’s under your mum, otherwise your porting will always fail since it’s the wrong ID.

If all is correct, just request SIMBA to port again, my port in last time failed for no real reason as well. 2nd time succeeded.

Ownership belongs to my dad because he has the CIS plan. So all the numbers is under his name.
Not sure if this CIS plan will affect the port in anot

This is the cause of failure. There is a ID mismatch. The old Telco is your dad, and Simba is your mom. Clearly, not the same person. Port in request will fail.

You need to go to the old Telco. Transfer from your dad ID to your mom, only when that is done, then request a port in at Simba.

Thanks a lot.
But my mums number is under my dads name under my dads cis plan. That is what is reflected on the bill though. Technically it’s the same ID as the number

I don't think it's possible to have a CIS plan on behalf of another person.
If the number is on your Dad's CIS plan, it's your Dad's number, end of story.

Crap, the Simba outlet didn’t do a proper job to port over SingTel prepaid to Simba postpaid.

does anyone know if Simba can convert the prepaid to postpaid?
