Thanks for the information. Thought wallet only use to deduct “add on”. Now know it can also deduct monthly subscription.
That's why I usually top up 6 months of subscription fees inside wallet. One year I top up twice and need not worry about forgetting to top up monthly. I used Singtel dash credit card as I do not want to use my physical credit card (do not want to expose my credit cards as mine as been compromised before). So, my Singtel dash credit had limited amount (3 months of deduction) inside for deduction also.

YES. For me, I one shot put $100 into wallet and let it auto deduct monthly. I check the balance monthly just to make sure inside still have $$..
ok thanks, i prefer not to lock a lot of $$ into the wallet that is unable to take out, esp if its non-contract and can jump ship at anytime.

Oh ya, u got a point. For me I am using SIMBA mostly for the private number, roaming data and roaming calls. Will not port it out as it's also my secondary line.

For me, i wait for SIMBA sms reminder at around 3 to 4 days before the billing cycle date. I will either renew than plan or top up then.

Im actually refering to roaming data top up, on whether is there any other requirements to fulfil. Or can just top up overseas if a CC is already tagged to the acct which makes things easier...

Top up 5bucks in you wallet for excess data charges...

Excess won't be deducted from CC. Only from wallet.

If you wanna use CC to pay the monthly $10 fee likes me. Then, just put $5 in your Wallet. Don't put $10 or more else the $10 monthly fee will deducted from your Wallet first if your Wallet has a minimum of $10 or more.

That $5 in the Wallet can be used for future PPU usage eg; extra Roaming data (after used up the bundled 1GB) or make IDD calls for those who subscribed to non-IDD plan). You can top up another $5 into your Wallet once it is getting less or depleted over time.

**Mine is the $10 SIM Only plan with 1GB Roaming Data but without the IDD call minutes bundled.

Just to confirm, the ppu for extra data roaming if the free 1GB is used up will need to activate ourself if needed right? It will not be automatic correct? If yes we will need to activate manually, once 1GB used up we will not be able to use data at Malaysia unless we pay for the ppu through wallet?

No. The PPU will be auto activated once your 1GB bundled is used up.

Therefore, your will not come to a situation whereby you lost roaming data connection totally while in overseas.

Afterall, SIMBA PPU has the best pricing for that popular 57 countries and charges per 100MB block, and not straight away $4/GB block.

Let's say you used up to 300MB only. Then you will be charged $1.20 only. Not the full $4/1GB.

Just make sure you have enough money in your Wallet for it and top it up as accordingly before it becomes $0.

Do that if and only if you intend to stay with SIMBA for a long time. I regretted topping up during grab sale and cannot port out during these period of telco fire competition.

Yup, SIMBA will always be my 2nd line and I had been with them since they started out foc.
I needed their bundled data roaming and also voice roaming.

If with $5 Senior Plan looks like I cannot put less than $5 in the wallet unless I can do so with PayNow?

Thanks.

Easy!

You put $5 first. Then, make a IDD call and then end the IDD call immediately once it is connected.

Your $5 will be deducted to become less than $5 immediately and stayed less than the $5 block forever.

I discovered it by making an accidental IDD call to Malaysia but routed to its voicemail and get deducted $0.01.

The Wallet stayed at $4.99. Not enough for your $5 monthly free deduction and therefore the $5 monthly fee will not be deducted from your Wallet of just $4.99.

The trick is that make sure your Wallet has less than $5 before your billing cycle comes. (For your $5 Senior plan).

For my $10 plan. I make sure I have less than $10 in my Wallet before every billing cycles comes..

Just spend one time of $0.01 to solve the issue forever. Damn worth it unless you are not even willing to spend $0.01 cent. Haha.

I think I will just leave my wallet empty. As I have already all paid up for 3 Months :o

Don’t think I will exceed anything as I got 10GB roaming Msia and unlikely to use IDD at all. Nowadays can use WhatsApp to call so no need.

Pruss I more worried if got wallet they anyhow deduct this and that.

Just put $5 inside your Wallet for emergency and Unexpected PPU usages while you are in overseas. You will never know... That's why it is call Emergency and Unexpected.

$5 nia! Less than a McDonald's Happy Meal!

$5 divided by 12 months. It is just a $0.41 per month over a year for a piece of mind! Again, it is less than the price for a cup of Kopi-oooooo....per month.

Hmm ok. Can I withdraw this amount in case I want to port out later? :D
