IMHO.Are you using iPhone? I only heard iPhones having these weird problem. On Android, the hotspot sharing is dependant on your phone settings and not mobile operator.
I also think you never set up your hotspot apn. I've seen people iPhone don't have the hotspot settings before, but after some set up done, it will appear. iPhone APN settings there, there is a separate APN settings for hotspot, so please ensure the hotspot APN is set to tpg.
Which part of Tuas? If you are talking about Tuas South, it's quite good. Tuas South is also quite big, my experience from Tuas Viaduct to Tuas South Street 12 area has been very good. I see there are quite a lot of simba antennas around Tuas South. I have used starhub and singtel in Tuas South before, many times they dropped to 3G and no data through. M1 is pretty fine there.
Simba performs the best there for me. I think it's because Tuas South is quite an open area and new place that was recently built up, hence Simba has the opportunity to deploy their infrastructure there. They recently deployed 5G NSA is many places in Tuas South, you can refer network coverage on nPerf website. You can also see where is their 5G coverage in Tuas South.
Anything beyond Lamp Post 1 have yet to be verified.

IMHO. IIRC.Not sure if anyone can test a phenomenon I observed..
When set to 5G Auto, but not connected to 5G, I was able to get a higher speed of ~80-90 Mb/s. If set to LTE only was only able to get 50-70 Mb/s. Not sure if the phone is using more power when on 5G auto thus the higher speeds.

TPG got 2 bands. I suspect your setting connects you to different bands.
To differentiate, when you do the speed test, take note of the upload speed - they should be different as well.
My testing eons ago, for upload and download, one band is almost symmetrical where as the other is asymmetrical i.e. the download is much higher than upload e.g. download is 20, upload is 5.

Their outdated 5G websiteWrote in to SIMBA about 5G. Cryptic response. They said their 5G NSA trial has ended, ask me to enjoy premium 4G experience. You see their website has systematically removed all mention of 5G as well. My guess is they are rolling back 5G commitment as they are not willing to invest the additional overheads to increase throughput for the demand. They got 660k subscribers, if each only subscribe to $10 plan, that's only $6.6 million a month or $79.2 million a year. With their overheads, I wonder how to recover investments?
