My aunt has I believe iphone SE 2022. Recently got the Simba Senior plan. Got eSIM. We went to a Simba store and the guy checked her settings.

But today she said can receive calls from landline but cannot call landline. Mobile calls are ok.

I believe it's the Volte settings. The phone is not with me at the moment. Any idea what's wrong?
Found the answer after I got hold of the phone.. the phone was still set to physical SIM card of old Telco, and eSIM of Simba. Phone calls still use old SIM. So disabling that got the phone to work properly.

Anyone know if the postpaid plan has expired but still within the 21 days grace period, if the wallet is then topped up, will the renewal be immediately? Or still have to wait till the next morning to be processed? Thanks.

anyone roamed in South Korea Jeju with Simba before? i'm heading there for a week, deciding between Shopee ICC esim and using simba roaming.

ICC esim has plans like 1GB/day for 7-days at $7.69.
For Simba, it's 1GB free and if i use 1GB/day it will cost $4/6-days = $24.

I see reviews on shopee that the esim is quite slow at times as they using HK SIM that bans tiktok too. Not sure about SIMBA in Jeju, anyone has visited there and how is their roaming partner?

Used in Jeju last May, it was alright. The ICC seems a bit too cheap not to be throttled

ohh. how many GB did you use on Simba in Jeju? Coverage in Jeju all okay right?

Last time i use ICC in malaysia, connection wonky wonky, i think because their roaming partner is those small telcos.

Simba roaming partner is below. looks like big partners
  • KT Corporation Korea/Olleh / 450 0 8
  • SK Telecom/KOR SK / 450 05 5G VoLTE

When ZYM tried to port my number over, they mentioned the failure was becoz my line was under my employer's Company UEN, not under my NRIC.

I'm aware that the line and bill is under my name, not my employer. But on the telco's backend, that's not how it work though.

Anyway, keep us posted. Hope everything goes smoothly for you.

U are right
when i registered to port over to simba, I did not received any confirmation email but payment was deducted from my credit card.

I have to convert my line to personal first
After I did that, I went to simba dealer
the simba dealer still ask me to provide proof and letter of conversion from Singtel, claiming there were cases where people anyhow port others line

in the end, i went to the service center and kakit bukit
they just scan my IC and resolve everything for me within minutes

Simba office at kaki bukit accept CDC voucher?
SIMBA accepts CDC Vouchers as proven by a few.

I think it depends on the shop whether accept CDC Vouchers, not due to SIMBA's requirements.

Someone has updated saying the shop he went didn't accept CDC Vouchers.
quick question :
My simba line is paid/top up monthly automatically with my registered credit card

if I top up my line manually, there should be not be any credit card deduction in subsequent months right?
Monthly payments will not come from your Credit Card if you have sufficient balance in your wallet.

Yes that is right, provided you have sufficient credit balance for the full bill to be deducted. If your bill is $10/mth and your credit balance is only left with $9.50 for example, the $9.50 will be untouched and the full bill will be deducted from your credit card.
