Now that giga launched 5G plans that is possibly using 5G SA (infra network shared with M1), now more or less the plans they offered seems to almost matching Simba's plan.

Giga 5G $18.33/MTH plan, it has 300GB (5G SA), 2GB roaming for 5 countries (Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, India and South Korea).

Comparable Simba plan

Sim-Only 200GB 5G $12/MTH, it has 200GB (5G NSA) *130GB after 6 months. It has 2GB International roaming, 300IDD minutes, call back Singapore for free when roaming, free incoming calls when overseas.

and also

SuperRoam 50GB $20/MTH, it has 130GB local data, 50GB Malaysia Data, 10GB Regional data roaming. 10GB regional roaming to Australia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Thailand, Taiwan and Vietnam. 300minutes IDD. Call back Singapore for free when roaming, free incoming calls when overseas.

So people will need to decide for themselves. Most people 100GB data more than enough. Giga has 5G SA, while Simba has better data, voice roaming.

yeah I am wondering is it worth to keep my giga or move over to simba.
Giga has more data, uses SA instead NSA for 5G but the roaming is only in 5 countries where else SIMBA covers many more countries. heard Giga has better coverage than simba cos they are from Starhub.
Giga cost abt $6 more than simba............

I would still choose SIMBA with the generous roaming data allowance.

For Simba, can I switch from the Seniors Plan to the SuperRoam 50GB (30D) and then switch back to the Seniors Plan?

Cos the Senior will be travelling for almost the entire month of June. Need the extra data roaming.

as long as account holder is 60 year old and above and the plan cycle is within day 1-day 25 can change plan. day 26-day30 cannot. you can change back as above conditions also

Does SA or NSA affects your daily gaming, video or your work?? If no, then there are others for u to waste your time to consider, ie signal in your frequent locations, down time, etc.

I am curious why normal mobile user is so concern about SA or NSA...

SA brings along the true benefits of 5g, yes lower latency is the biggest advantage for gamers or streamers but it’s noticeable for day to day tasks too such as browsing etc

Where got lag on nsa network? I can do everything on the internet just fine, even playing codm. U're too sensitive.

never say lag, but it’s from a perspective of ‘it can be faster’. just like iphones, models from few years ago work just fine too, but apple still release new models every year with just slightly faster performance. most people wouldn’t notice, but some would want it

Another example, 10 gbps internet access with wifi 7. How many norm home users will max benefit from the new tech? How many of your devices are wifi 7 or 10GBASE-T.

We don't have to even touch on 10gbs internet.
The existing 2.5 internet is still a mix bag.

If we go back further, remember how those traffic lights were advertising 5G as the game changer years before they really implemented any proper infrastructure in SG?
Suckers still fell for it and became "first movers" to help beta test that.

to be fair, the barrier of entry to 5g sa is much lower than wifi 7 equipments. ultimately it depends on whether users are willing to pay more for that little bit extra

How do you know sa is faster than nsa? Did u do some tests? SA is only faster in certain situations, do you know? Anyway it's your call. We're just saying SA may not be any better than NSA.
