Hello, newcomer to SIMBA. Just realised I cannot send sms to foreign numbers (even if I’m willing to pay for it). Can this be worked around? The services data sheet also says receiving foreign SMS is free and doesn’t mention sending.

i think you have go to your default app settings in your phone settings. Is there any way to force BOTH incoming and outgoing call to SIMBA voice app ?
Outgoing can easily turn off at SIM Manager on Android if there is 2 SIM but incoming?

My wallet is tied to a credit card and they said that’s fine - don’t need to top up as it will automatically be deducted from my credit card. Is that not the case?Have you top-up your wallet before sending the sms?

They = the CSO at both Clementi and Thomson booths. I applied for quite a few cards so collected them at two different locations. Asked the same question on wallet to which they both replied it was unnecessary. I will try again thanks much.who is they?
Credit card is only for recurring monthly charges. Not for excess charge. The SMS overseas need to be deducted from your wallet.
You need to top up your wallet to send the sms
These people at the booths are giving incorrect information. If you check back the messages in this thread, you will realise many people use top up wallet balance that letting recurring charge, ad you can top up using shopee, and use shopee coins to offset your top upThey = the CSO at both Clementi and Thomson booths. Reading the terms and conditions, they do specify notice 7 business days (i.e. about 1.5 weeks) before the billing cycle.my simba need to renew by 4 Sep, i ported out to Maxx on 2 Sep, will the port out be successful?
i received a msg from maxx informing me that the port in will be processed on 3 sep, 1 day before my simba expiry.
will this be possible?

By their legal clause, they have the right to bill you for the next month since you left it so late. And yes, porting out is a termination of the service on their end. You just are not the one initiating the termination process, but your destination telco.
In general, because of the way telcos use their billing cycles, and because MVNOs don't refund, better to lose 2 weeks than to pay a whole month cos you're porting too late. They also make a bit of money from customers who regularly port in and out.
I'm facing constant disconnection from the network in melaka, malaysia. its so fustrating..can someone help me?
im currently travelling in japan and Simba is totally useless. i dont have internet have the time even though my signal is LTE full bar. even when i do have the internet is super slow like ADSL speeds
the KDDI and au networks seem to be really lousy. forget about using the internet while on the go in trains, but even in the Shibya area the network is so slow as to be borderline unusable.
any settings i need to do to improve the situation? or is Simba just hopeless in Japan? am seriously thinking of just getting one of the local overpriced esim because its so difficult to travel without a reliable internet connection
