Update.....

Tried all methods I could... the MCC just remains as the overseas MCC and not that of Singapore.

Orange is mega stubborn and refuses to leave.

Went down to Simba OC today, and after a mere 2mins, Simba changed a new sim for me...
They could not resolved as well... so to save time and energy, change new sim... easy way around...

Orange burn their code into your sim?

They don't know how to resolve and chose the easy way out by changing the SIM, still got the cheek to charge meh?

How long does it take to port?

I signed up for esim ytd evening to port from my M1 line.

No sound no news.
But I alr registered my esim on my phone..

And previous line (M1) still alive..

my previous time i ported from starhub to simba within 8 hours settled..

now dunno why so long..

Is it coz i did online myself now?

approx 1600, signed up and opted to port in.
approx 2200, m1 no connection
approx 0230, simba notified port in successful, full bar signal. rebooted phone, tested, full functionality.
my experience, YMMV

didn't receive esim email. Went to shop for a new esim issue at 19:30

simba activated 10:00 Sat
vivifi cut off 12:00 noon Sat.

so simba did not finish porting at Fri night. Waited till 10am. And vivifi co-existed with simba till 12pm lolll

Be patient... my sister port over 09oct but like only12oct 1145pm then m1 got cutoff... simba charge from 12oct (still counted even for only 15mins? Lol)... official simba can be used only 13oct like 1230am

M1 billed till 12oct, simba start on 12oct (so overlap 12oct, she paid for m1 and simba)

Be patient... last time same day can port over (after 11pm start to cutoff) but now mayb few days... usually in the night after 11pm

Furthermore, there is a limit or quota of the numbers of porting process a day by the porting "department", so to speak!

wonder why there is a quota, so IMDA not doing their job. "Small space" must come clean

I suspect its aging or EOL's Porting application / server cannot handle the volume...

Cos nowadays everyone wants to be like you Harry. So many places got good deal, just port.

Can i check if it's safe to top up main balance 1-2 weeks in advance? Will Simba eat up the main balance just like Singtel do with their prepaid cards

You mean top up the wallet for Simba to deduct when payment is due?

If so, I've never had any deduction done before payment is due. Have topped up to 6 months ahead.
