IMHO.No wonder ST so stuck up.![]()
I would say, depends on how one sees it, they can afford to because a large part of their revenue should be from outside Singapore.

https://support.simba.sg/hc/en-us/a...ocal-partner-network-operator-s-per-countriesWhen roaming in Indonesia, can it connect to Telkomsel network?
Why would the roaming data limit be limited to WhatsApp only? It's the same as what you use on your mobile phone locally.Google does not provide the full answer, does (VoLTE Supported) means able to connect to internet or just a few apps such as Whatsapp only?
Exactly, so why give them an easy time since they cannot be bothered and choose the easy way out, short changing consumers while charging "exborbitant" prices.IMHO.

I did 2 of mine on a weekday morning, & successfully ported over the next day at 1am - so less than 24 hrs. I collected SIM Cards myself after submitting to port over.Just signed for simba. Normally how many days Simba will need to port over the mobile line?
Maybe it hasn't 24 hrs yet. Need to wait till tonight. Mine is esim.I did 2 of mine on a weekday morning, & successfully ported over the next day at 1am - so less than 24 hrs. I collected SIM Cards myself after submitting to port over.
1. Once quota used up, usage will be stopped.Hi all, I just signed up for a new postpaid (monthly payment via credit card) Simba mobile e-sim ($12/mth) as a 2nd line to be used mainly for roaming. Have a few questions regarding excess data charges:
1) If I used up my data quota (Main, APAC or Group A), will my connection be "hard-stopped" and I will not be automatically charged for excess data (to my credit card) as I have $0 in my account Balance/Recharge balance?
2) If I turn on roaming outside the "Main/APAC/Group A" region, will roaming work if I have $0 in my account Balance/Recharge balance?
3) If I have balance in my account/Recharge, then I will be deducted for excess data charges in above #1 & #2 scenarios?
4) To use roaming in Group A/B/C there is no package plan to buy, only pay per use via manual top-up recharge?
Thanks in advance!
Thanks @hwsstx & @froztheart for the quick reply, greatly appreciated.
One more question:
Right now I'm using e-sim and would like to change to physical sim soon as I swap between phones often. I assume this is possible although it is not mentioned anywhere in the FAQ... Has anyone tried it, what is the cost ($5?) and is there any down time? Thanks again!
For SIMBA, any re-issuance/change to physical/eSIM requires a visit to SIMBA unfortunately. Thanks @hwsstx & @froztheart for the quick reply, greatly appreciated.

I used to swap phones very often so stuck only to physical SIM. But ya, just need to bring along your ID to a service centre for a new SIM and pay $5. Instant activation though I make it a point to make sure it's working before leaving the vicinity. Thanks @hwsstx & @froztheart for the quick reply, greatly appreciated.

Check with you bro if your data allowance seem to use up super fast while in China? Now back in SG from China, which my prepaid old tpg type Sim card fails to work by constantly dropping off after a few minutes in China, whereas my main postpaid simba Sim card works perfectly without issue. Even if changing positions of the two Sims, or just keeping only the prepaid in the phone didn't work.
The prepaid tpg will work for few minutes then updating Sim data pops up and then the apn will go to Orange World..
Now back in SG even worst. My prepaid shows TPG Singapore whereas my main postpaid sim shows Simbanever encountered any of such issues for many months until this month...
Log in to app to check is it whether renewal or anything failed for my prepaid but seems normal. Only thing is now I'm purposely using mobile data, and refreshing to see the SG data usage,no drop at all lol.
From the following FAQ, I think you need to go to the service centre and pay S$5.

And yes, $5 per instance. No downtime, instant activation IIRC.

With Simba they'll recommend keeping the QR code which apparently can be reused if need to reset phone. Not sure if still can reuse once you change to a physical SIM though. I think not...
Depends on your usage...my Seniors Plan is 3GB for Group ACheck with you bro if your data allowance seem to use up super fast while in China?
Last week my partner & I were in Xi'an for 7 days - both on SIMBA's Senior Plan. I'd 0.21GB balance after the trip; partner's was 0.99GB balance - I didn't surf as much as when I'm in SG though.
I'd another SIMBA's PrePaid $12 with 18GB for China etc which I gave to a friend, on the same tour, to use - she used nearly 4GB.
Most times we were allocated 4G by CTC (I presume China Telecom). 99.9% was good, only on one occasion all SIMBA's subscribers on tour had no signals, even trying airplane mode on/off, change APN, on/off phone, manual choosing other Telcos (which was rejected) etc.
Finally it worked by switching in phone's settings (Preferred Network Type) to focus on 4G without option for 5G. It was only a small hiccup. Much later when I switched back to have Auto 5G the issue didn't arise again
Signal coverage was very good, whether high up in the hills, deep down in the vallies, deep undergrounds, highways etc...
Added:
Didn't use hotel WiFi at all as Google, Whatsapp etc cannot be accessed.
Nope. Normal. 3gb, I came back with 0.93gb. Of course you can't be scrolling fb or yt... Just normal Google searches, communication apps and maps.Check with you bro if your data allowance seem to use up super fast while in China?
