Making them queue for hours only to be told past the witching hour already?
This time, simba really bad at planning. At least few months back at Comex, it was smoother.

Partly because, not a lot people know about the top-up offer. Back then, it was also $60 free $60 during 3 to 4pm during the 3-days Comex show.

This time round, they expanded to all servioce centres, the reach is even greater and they didn't anticipate for this crowd.

I hope tomorrow they do better management.

What improvement are we expecting? Today's outstanding top up is going to carry forward to tomorrow, notwithstanding tomorrow new set of crowds. 1hr timeline is a joke. 😂

Learning from today's experience, i think people may well start queuing in the morning. Machiam like how people used to queue overnight for new iPhone launches.

This promo actually benefits Seniors more, I don't see it is that great for normal plans which starts at $10 onwards. Singaporeans just love queuing. I may have reservation with CL but its $3.30 plan definitely beats Simba promo hands down. 😂

Yes, there were tons of seniors around me when i queued at 3pm. One of them said "They just want our money, why they need to make it so difficult".. LOL

next time just do 1 FULL DAY instead of 1hr over 3-4 days. zzz

3-4 days leave it for COMEX / IT SHOW since they can attract crowd at different timings to their booth.

this SIMBA pattern many many. anger peasants like us and ahbeng ahlian shops. what for.

Yes. They want your money. But they didn't force you to pay or buy or top up. It your choice to top up or stay at home Lim kopi.

Why they must think so stressful?

Yes they can do better. But it's one's own choice.

After they merge with M1, i think they will have sustainable customer base, i doubt that they will do such promotions. Never see SingTel, M1 or Starhub doing such campaign in the previous years.

I think Simba do it all wrong, causing such a distress situation. Guess you dislike uncles/aunties. 😅

Should offer 1-1 online....the effect will be greater....wonder why not?!
Come to think of it, they may worry too if the offer is too easy, imagine all subscribers will top up, then for the next 1-2 yrs there will be no incoming $ for the company. In a way, it can be scary. 😂

They learnt from last time and won't offer online. Online doesn't create the effects of physical humans queuing. How much publicity it is for them to have such viral attention, queues forming and news media headlines. That's what simba is going for. U really think they are out to 'reward' subscribers? Everyone is just willingly being played as their marketing tool.

Never see the traffic lights offering $10 plan on the onset, did we?

Them being the first to give seniors $5 plan, not surprise majority in the queues are seniors. What's more the recent $350 to $600, even more will have the cash to join the Simba queues. Unless gone in 4D queues already....

pretty sure this is a good deal for foreign workers.
Some foreign workers will leave Singapore when they still have funds in their SIMBA wallets. If they return to countries with free international roaming, I guess they might get some value from their SIMBA SIMs/wallets. But SIMBA still wins more revenue than otherwise.

Likewise, if you're a senior with 2+ years of $5/month service in your SIMBA wallet, and then unfortunately you die 6 months into that 2+ year period, tough luck.😢

Eight (StarHub subsidiary) had such one to one top-up offer but seems no more.

does 8 has any top up promo recently?

last top up in sep 2024 for 1 for 1 and also 2025 cny promo.

my balance ending in 5 months time.

Yalor seems like no offer of 1-1 this season.....if Simba offer online 1-1 will jump ship soon....

BTW, Singtel MVNOs had the "50% OFF" offer recently.
1) New users: free three months if you stick with them for six months.
2) Port-in: free six months if you stick with them for 12 months.

In fact CMLink's offer is still available until 18 Dec 2025, 50% OFF six months from the second month onwards for the S$10.1 plan and S$15 plan.
https://www.cmlink.com/sg/en/

I think SIMBA is trying to gain more customers before the merger. The offer is especially good for the S$5 senior plan.

M1 Maxx may be the loser here. Not so sure about Eight. Singtel heya is gone already.
