My guess is possibly due to poor connection.

Simba calls need VoLTE so that could be the reason.

Can try restarting your phone.

For me, I got another telco line for my dual SIM phone to provide data support. Perhaps not 100% foolproof but that's my current see-how solution, since I don't make nor receive many calls.
Doesn't all SG telco requires VoLTE now ?

Just to add on

When Simba first launched, they built a network exclusively on 4G, making them the first local telco to require VoLTE for voice calls.

At the time, since many devices didn't yet support Simba's VoLTE configuration, they launched the Simba Voice app to bridge the gap. Now that Simba has matured, most major handset manufacturers have enabled native VoLTE support for their network, making the app less of a necessity

Does SIMBA supports iphone RCS?
RCS is not network compliance but software compliance I think. It is just like asking which telcos supports which apps that require data connection, irrelevant question. RCS is like early PC era problems, if it works, it works, if it doesn't, it just doesn't. My RCS is always stuck with the temp no. on my Galaxy S7 and not the ported no. despite clearing data and cache, restart device, reinstall Messages, changing my SIM card no. to ported no. My other devices work fine with RCS though.

i think the photo refers to their fibre broadband.
definitely not mobile data connectivity - can feel it going downhill, getting more sluggish nowadays.
