that's a good tip. let me look at it. the only thing is 90days. can't jump ship adhoc w/o losing some $.
Many subscribers are determined to stay with simba for the long term anyway with the 1 for 1 topup promo. They should be aware that the wallet credits is non refundable.

Someone in other thread posted screenshot of $469.99 in wallet.

They should prioritize to get their network more stable and reliable….the underground train journey is almost unusable when the train is moving.
When they merge with m1... you can expect better signals. Right now they can only do so much because they only got a smaller bandwidth being the last mno to join in.

slow and steady telco ....

Slow yes.
Steady not sure.

I have tried many plans and SIMBA is at the bottom for local usages.

Take note I do not have difficult use cases like peak time MRT ride since I take bus for daily commute to work.

My own experiences with 9 plans I have tried, YMMV.

From good to not so good
1) SingTel S$15.28 plan, main line
2) Zym S$10.1 plan with free 5G trial (active testing line)
3) M1 Maxx S$12 5G (active testing line) and CL 5G free trial (terminated)
4) StarHub Prepaid S 5G (active long term backup line)
5) SingTel hi! S$10 4G plan (terminated)
6) eight S$8 4G plan (active long term backup line, good for roaming) and CUniq S$9.9 4G plan (terminated)
7) SIMBA S$12 plan (terminated, good for roaming)

They must be doing something right coz their installed base is still increasing and people are "signing" long contract with them by topping up. Haha.
from my observation their biggest customer group seems to be foreign migrant workers, followed by the crowd that goes to johor every weekend, then followed by seniors.

the common factor with all three groups is that they seldom take MRT.

these groups are also not really concerned on download speeds or 5G SA, so they have little reason to port out.

Interesting findings.

Indeed no one in our lunch group members (all engineers , from 20+ to 50+ years old) uses SIMBA now.

1) SingTel with Mobile device contract x 2 (Samsung/ iPhone user)
2) StarHub legacy plan with Mobile device contract (Samsung user)
3) SingTel SIM Only -- that is me (not counting my other lines)
4) M1 BeSpoke SIM Only
5) Gomo 5G plan
6) VIVIFI legacy 4G plan (<S$10)
7) eight 4G S$8 plan x 2
8) One more to check but I know he is not using SIMBA -- CMLink

Interestingly no one seems to have a secondary line except me and they don't seem to be concerned even after the SingTel issues. All will bring a bit of cash though to avoid payment issues.

Just curious and ask one by one recently. :ROFLMAO:

For example, during the first day of SingTel mobile service disruption, I knew SingTel and Gomo users were affected. But then VIVIFI and my Zym line were not affected. That first day incident happened around lunch time.

I switched to SIMBA mainly because of the ultra smooth auto detection of Malaysia mobile network whenever I cross the borders. Other than that local network is nearly tolerable, if not I'd have to see which other telco lets me roam just as easily without even having to think/worry about upon foreign customs clearance.
