Prices grabbed from pcthemes.
Cpu: R5 2400G
Mobo: Asrock B450i ITX - Both $427
Ram: Corsair vengeance LPX 2666MHz 2x4GB - $129
Case: CM 110 mITX case - $60
PSU: Seasonic Focus 550W - $125
Total: ~$740

Any advice for better parts, seems a bit ex :( Also how should I deal with os? Leave it unactivated or just carouhell a key? :s22: TIA

Ditch the ryzen+amd-mobo combo. Very overpriced and your use-case is so low-demand that you're over-powering it.

Cheap Intel G4560(95 Sgd) + B250 Mobo(118 Sgd) is more than capable of running your requirements. Total Dmg: 213Sgd. See the difference in price? :s22:

OS: Up to u. Unactivated is perfectly usable with no restrictions. Unless you like the feel of 'owning' the OS then go ahead and carouhell it.

Ram: You could run chrome/youtube/simple tasks very smoothly off 4gb ram so if you're really cheapo you can cut down the ram by half.

Storage: Get a cheap SSD to contain the OS + key data off Amazon this black friday.

For the amount you're paying... You can consider an intel nuc or asus vivomini.

An intel nuc 7th gen i5 is selling for $888 for a whole pc, including win 10. I got this from cybermind price list.

Sent from my phone using GAGT

Alternatively, you can get the amd athlon 200ge. Around same price as intel's g4560 but it's on am4 platform so you can upgrade your cpu by just replacing the chip in the future.
