you can bring water in actually
theres water cooler in the waiting area,you have to bring your own bottle

if not check with the departure side 7-11 whether they seal up the drinks so you can bring on-board

My suggestion - get a travel water container and carry it.

My wife always has Hydro Flask with her. You can fill water/other liquids once you are inside. Its ability to hold temperature is amazing.

Please note that all airports will have security checks (ok, maybe unless you are taking private jet), this is true for transiting too. As posted by others, you are only not allowed to bring water through the security checks, which is just before entering the gate at SIN, but most other airports are directly after going through immigration or after deplaning (if transiting).

For example if you are flying SIN - NRT - LAX. At SIN, security is at the gate, so you will need to empty your water before the gate, then go through security and get water from water cooler. At NRT (transit), you will go through security straight after deplaning. No water through here, then you will be in the terminal with shops and water cooler, you can get water from them to take onto plane.

Fruits can. But most of the time even before it gets on the plane, it's already in my tummy.
Guava, dragonfruit, custard apple.
Coz they ripe very fast in my backpack.

These time i brought back passionfruits, okay.

The thing about it is that Singapore Changi Airport does not have hot water refill section.
No choice, only has cold water.

One exception is for flights to USA. They are more strict and there will be a manual check inside the aerobridge. I encountered this when transit in either Hong Kong or Narita. So even though water is filled up inside transit area, still need to empty it before boarding.
