Anyone works / worked there? What is it like working there?

Working Hours, allowance and other remuneration.

I have been offered a two year contract to work at Air Checkpoint.

I have a question,

When they said Starting gross salary is $1,936 and then they stated at the bottom Attractive benefits i.e. Shift allowance, OT payment and Vocation allowance, does that mean the gross salary is inclusive of those?

Oh alright. I was told by a friend that gross is base + cpf + allowances.

But I told him if the job scope requires a person to work shift hours, it cannot be counted as such due to the fact that those working office hours will receive Shift allowance(night and afternoon or night only depending on the contract), OT payment (if work for 44hrs on avg for 3 consecutive wks). Therefore if a person has gross salary of $1,936, it is not inclusive of the allowances.

My father in law used to be a customs officer before retiring 2 yrs back. Pay is Gross+allowances and usually the shift allowances can be quite a huge sum if always on night shift. also depends on the shift roster and so on.

Oh ok. Thank you for the information. Now I feel a lil bit at ease knowing that the gross is actually the base salary.
