the drop in oil price is actually hurting economy quite a lot..

consumers (us) will feel the benefit (lower gas price, which is not obvious in Singapore) first, but the backlash will come much later when it trickles down (retrenchment, expense cut, headcount freeze) to business due to poor demand.
