Ask y'all ah...

If my mum's CDP is linked to the same joint bank account with me, will I be able to purchase for her SSB using my iBanking account when I input her CDP account number?

you may be wrong.. because many ppl who wanted to apply last month were waiting for this month to apply..

and those who applied for 100k but only got 74k last month will apply their remaining 26k this month too...

This month's SSB is most likely going to be heavily oversubscribed because the long end of the curve has collapsed, both 5yr and 10 yr returns are going to be significantly lower from next month onwards, this is the last chance to get decent yield.

First time buying ssb to try try.
Any bros can enlighten me on how this buying process works?

1) I noticed the amount is directly n right away deducted for the amount I apply for SSB. Is it normal?

2) If allocation fail will they immediately reimburse me back the money to my bank account?

3) I using Ocbc to apply for ssb but my Cdp account direct credit is POSB. Should be no issue right?

4) Will the interest n redeem of ssb will go into my ocbc or POSB?

Inexperienced ssb buyer here seeking advise from pros. 😁

u asking about refund? Not sure about UOB.
For DBS/POSB, u will receive refund one day after balloting result.
But OCBC refund faster, will be credited in the afternoon after balloting result, will rec SMS notification on results too.
My experience.

bank interest is only lower provided you get it all for the SSB ma, the concern is that this time round may be oversubscribed and may not get all, then waste that 1-2 days of interest.. but actually is not a lot la, i calculated even 5% at 100k, 1 day of interest around $13..

as in, even at 5% yield for 100k, its only 13 dollars loss.. meaning the loss is only around $5-$6 or less max so dont know why people are so concerned about losing that 1-2 days of interest
