Thank you for the advice. Looking at other vehicles. Ssb maxed... Hoping ssb increases its limit... Flexibility very important..Why bid 2.5% pa for a 5-year SGS when you can get the SSB still open for application, SBAPR25, hold it for 5 years, and get 2.77% pa?
Unless you have maxed out your SSB quota or you have a huge amount to invest. And even then I would not necessarily lock it up in a 5-year SGS.
How old are you? And do you invest in anything already?Thank you for the advice. Looking at other vehicles. Ssb maxed... Hoping ssb increases its limit... Flexibility very important..
I also bought some 5/10y SGS when the rates was >3%Thank you for the advice. Looking at other vehicles. Ssb maxed... Hoping ssb increases its limit... Flexibility very important..
Looking around now Bro. Holding couples of tbill 6months. Was looking at a longer period of slightly higher % interest... Thus sgs pops out... But looks like. Money stuck..How old are you? And do you invest in anything already?

Bank interest are also, fluctuating... Headache. Finding another good option... Somewhere...

ok so you wouldn't be open to looking at more than just "risk-free" investment in the longer termLate 40s. Can retire but still around. Consider semi retirement... I don't Wan to assume a long life span.
Exactly so.ok so you wouldn't be open to looking at more than just "risk-free" investment in the longer term
