another seminar of something again? just some weeks ago, there was this seminar about violence and islam held in singapore and some imam was there to give a talk and it was opened to anyone to listen and ask questions. the talk opened with some template like saying that muslims are not supposed to be violent and they are only allowed to attack when they are threatened and things like that...u know...the typical template on peace and harmony.

there were people from other faiths and atheists there to listen and the imam couldnt answer some of the difficult questions and always trying to skirt ( reminds u of someone here? ). question like since muslims are allowed to attack to defend themselves, then it is not wrong in islam that muslims in singapore can travel to defend isis, the palestinians or even rohingya right? the audience can tell he was dumb founded and trying to skirt again...

Why ask the imam that? Ask MHA or some other authorities. The imam has no control over who wants to do what. The police or relevant authorities have that control.

And also, it is stupid to join other people's fight. It is not a duty nor a good deed for a Muslim to do that.

The MHA/authorities are only in-charge of enforcement, not what a muslim can do/cannot do. The imam is in a leadership position to educate other muslims and teach them the correct path.
