Siblings is the best gift my parents give me. Sometimes I wonder what I did to deserve them.

If it's any consolation, some of us have siblings, but no siblings would have been much better for us.

At least when young ,you have plenty of freedom, and your parents give you the best
But as you aged, so do your parents and you have to take care of them just like how they took care of you when you were small

This is the worst case scenario. 1 person take care 2 sick parents, double debts and nothing to inherit.

Heng I no parents. LOL both of them dk go where alr. Also not my problem. I live my life they go do whatever fkx nonsense they want. To me I'm an orphan.

parents old is a big issue. especially if they live till very old. the pressure is so much more than having kids.

Like my sis go eat dessert at a famous place. Called n asked what I want. I couldn't decide between durian or yam. Then I also wanna try peanut paste. I told her U surprise me. Then she said okok u can choose 2. A few days later she went for a simple surgery. The first day I msg her U want porridge? She said no need. 2nd day I msg her U want porridge? She said she ate already. 3rd day I msg her again if she wants porridge.

Give n take one, I feel.

Actually more common than you think. My experience can be considered minority. But debts and no inheritance or burden and stress are pretty common. I would say you are lucky. I met many single child also very stress. Parents treat them like some flex trophy expect them perform up to certain standards.

U feel lonely because u don't have someone to accompany u. Can be friends or a partner.

Having a sibling around doesn't mean u won't be lonely growing up..

Though my late dad was a foreigner and his one night stay at SKGH cost me $1500, I was lucky (in a way he was a Malaysian) that his surgery for leg amputation due to diabetes cost only RM45 in JB
And his monthly stay at the JB nursing home was RM1500 ,all these back in 2020

Can't imagine even if he were a sinkie, I reckon I still needed to fork out more after subsidies

We had argued over his medical expenses in SG should he insisted to stay here ,he even said I am a JLB ,L*K
