Hi Guys, this is not my first time in tokyo but it is my first time having such a rush itinerary.

I am going on a biz trip which would land me in Yokohama till friday. I have managed to squeeze one full day on saturday 5th April 2014.

My flight on Sat will be at 8.50pm from Narita. Assuming that i take the NEX from tokyo station at 6pm. reaching Narita airport at 7pm. Check in and last min buys of foodstuffs at the airport.

So lets say i check out early after my breakfast at the hotel in Yokohama i dart into the train and head to Tokyo where i deposit my check-in luggage with the train station.

Will there be time for me to go to UENO Park to admire the Cherry blossoms, Then head to Akihabara for a quick run around then finish at Tokyo station Daimaru till my NEX ride to Narita.

Is it doable?

Please advise!

Sounds okay

Let's say
730 breakfast
815 checkout
900 Tokyo station
930 Ueno
1100 leave for Akiba & lunch
1230 shop at Akiba
1700 leave for Tokyo

Highly doable

Arent you supposed to go to the airport 3hrs before for international flights? Anyway yes Ueno/Akihabara/Tokyo is so near each other the train rides probably take only around 2/3 minutes so your schedule is doable.

I think you can get away with 2 hrs check in if you check in online first.

Do remember to buy your NEX ticket from the JR Office at the station in Narita. It's much cheaper for foreigners (have to show your passport).

Price is 1,500 OW and 2960(?) Return. Do get the return as you can't get this discounted price from Tokyo station.
The NEX + SUICA deal is no longer available as of 2 days ago, but its actually the same price as not buying the SUICA card they just add on the 2000 yen for the SUICA on top of the 1,500 ticket price for OWs)

Yeah, tomorrow is the free day I am looking forward to.
I am skipping ueno, was invited to my customer's Sakura party at the popular kamonyama park near queens mall in Yokohama this afternoon.
Yeah, I checked in already. The departure time is at 5.33 or 6.03pm. Thinking of getting the 6pm timing.
Should reach at 7pm? Or should I just take the 5.33pm train just to be safe?
Oh ya, anyone knows where is the luggage concierge at tokyo station? I read that there is a manned counter for us to store luggage. In case I could not get a big locker. I will be running around with a small cabin luggage and backpack.
