single jack headset, separate mic/headset pc jack

i got a single jack headset and can't hook it up to my pc that has separate jack for the mic and headset. what adaptor do i need to get to have the mic working but have the audio output via speakers?

Get audio splitter (female to male mic and speaker)

Then plug mic male to mic port
Desktop speaker plug speaker port
