Well effective is much lower bah. Even those earning 1k per month, they actually get 60k subsidies for the flat so they will pay around 60-80+k. Over 25 years certainly can afford to pay off.

So given most single can buy their own 2 rooms bto. The ones who actually need to rent cheaply from HDB are the super low income like cannot hold a job for long kind.

I am just replying to people here can look for potential mates if paired together (not that I even think govt will pair opp gender) and thus ask them if that is really the potential partners they have in mind.

That 1 is above 35, and 1 type is above 55, and all kind of restrictions. Like hopeless cases alrd.
