I would of course prefer to get sennheiser or shure, but they too expensive for casual use

In fact I went for some China brands they are in fact not bad too, like Saramonic.

The two main brands are usually on the very expensive side, even for a normal range dynamic mic.

Yes shoot nature de. Somemore they travel overseas is specially for shooting de. Wake up at weird hours n sometimes get bitten by insects or stuff but still willing to tong there just for a good shot

No, its the quality vs price you paid for... somemore the drop in quality happens after HP bought over the brand.
