you just feel sad or maybe emo cos u do put in effort but never get what you want or expect from her
to her ....she might feel it and hope to stay as colleagues by not misleading you or giving you some fake hope

I understand.. it's actually about a peace of mind, her peace of mind. If a simple meal can let her feel normal again, why not? Given that she's a person u like, even if cannot be together, also hope that she will be happy ma. You would not want to remind her of something negative everytime she looks at ur present.

On the other hand, if she's some dating app date, then no need to bother la. Next one will come soon.
