Different scenarios can play out.. for example, lets say u were a single but had no problem knowing or dating other females. That platonic friend is simply another friend.

At e same time , cos of those exceptions Cham Liao scenario I can see where u all coming fr abt “men n women can’t be real frens” so i also started to hermit

Many people share with me many personal things.. however, I continue to have minimal feelings or empathy for them. Friends come and go. I also don't need their help or listening ears..

I guess that will depends on the individual. I am not terribly bothered about gender when making friends. If a woman feels I cannot be a good enough friend for whatsoever reason, I couldn't be bothered..
