Thanks for pointing out. 👍
What is our coverage for the 10k deposited?

According to SDIC, it is covered up to 50k for guaranteed sum assured and up to 100k for guaranteed surrendered value.

I'm now trying to figure out what is our guaranteed sum assured / surrender value..

Update: seems like it's our account value. So all is well?

Yup. T&C say your surrender value is the account value. When you close the account you're essentially surrendering the life insurances plan.

Ned thanks but so far nothing from your end. No email no one called and status remained the same. I actually think applying for bank loan will get approval faster than open a Singlife account to put money in :s13:
Sorry to hear that! I will follow up with my team.

https://blog.seedly.sg/singlife-account-visa-debit-card

Pretty good summary for those still thinking.

The SDIC part is not in line with what is stated in singlife link which states

"This policy is protected under the Policy Owners’ Protection Scheme administered by the Singapore Deposit Insurance Corporation (SDIC). Coverage for your policy is automatic and no further action is required from you. For more information on the types of benefits that are covered under the scheme, as well as the limits of coverage, where applicable, please contact us or visit the Life Insurance Association or Singapore Deposit Insurance Corporation Limited (SDIC)."

Cassowary18 has spotted that which we discussed a few lines back 😊

Got to take note for the retrenchment part it is only claimable on the sum u spend on their debit card. Not on the salary..

According to SDIC, it is covered up to 50k for guaranteed sum assured and up to 100k for guaranteed surrendered value.

one important clarification, SDIC's POPS covers the guaranteed surrender value at the point of failure of up to 100k ... it is not the GSV at maturity

not sure if it's an issue for this product, have not looked closely at the BI yet since I only have 1k in it for now
