Actually many bros here are already very familiar with how to play the SCB esaver musical chair game for a long time. Is common knowledge, nothing new, same old rules.
I thought I had better spell out all the caveats for SC, else any folks not privy to SCB's style would really be worse off for it. Remember, we need to park fresh funds, and it must be incremental to benefit. Else folks think better to just dump into SC because Singlife got the $20k withdrawal limitation daily and SCB doesn't, and afterall aren’t they both paying the same 0.5% monthly. The newbie couldn’t be more wrong. Cos your earlier post only gave the impression that SCB is more convenient then Singlife's daily 20k limit, and they both pay interest at 0.5% monthly

So I think it bears repeating here, that SCB is in actual fact merely paying a pittance of 0.05% monthly on your balance, and only 0.45% on your incremental balance and for a limited duration until the next promotion occurs.

Bottom line, if you have $0 in SC in May and you put in $75k in June you will get 0.5% interest for June. If you don’t top up in July, leaving only $75k in your balance, your interest for July is a mere pittance of 0.05% of $75k!

Take heed folks, it pays to take note the subtleties.

You're lucky it still works until now for you. Many here it has stopped since many mths back, lucky ones will continue to work until they patched up perhaps.

Did you mean "unlucky"? because it didn't work for me :ROFLMAO: darn it. nobody said about them patching up.

so now I got their card which is useless as I don't have that much spending to use per month. oh well... just lock it up and put it somewhere then.

When you check into hotels, you can use insert the card into the slot that turns on the aircon and lights.

For newbies, do head over to the esaver thread to discuss the promo details. Since this is Singlife thread, we should try not to stray off topic and keep details relevant. There's a reason for separate threads for different products.

If there's a lack of details, interested newbies should also do their own due diligence with the respective banks, no newbies should just jump straight into a product based on any forum post even with claimed details. Anyway most bank promos are always targeting Fresh Funds, worth noting again Singlife is not a bank.
Indeed, and hopefully the newbies would have done their homework.

Do you think SingLife's Grow is worth it? The Balanced or Dynamic is worth a look? Currently I only have the Conservative portfolio.

1% per annum to invest in unit trusts. You go on dollardex can recreate the portfolio for free.

It's basically a more expensive roboadvisor. If that floats your boat then go for it I guess?
