I remember this singlife account used to be called singlife grow? After it reduce the % I took out everything.
Today I just started funding back some xxxx amt into the account.
Wanted to ask if there is a referral programme for this? Want to refer my wife and brother but I don't see there's any where to generate referral code

is there a catch that I overlook? This seems like a better account than all others out there (Standchart, HSBC, Maybank). At 3% beats the rest (HSBC can be better if one includes the 1% bonus for incremental amt).

Only down is that only 10k gets to enjoy the 3%. But still nice to leave it there and no other hoops to jump thru.

It's capped at 10k, can't use it as a day to day bank account, so won't say it's a good substitute for a bank account.

The hoop is you still need to make sure you topup every cycle. And how to balance it such that don't have so much excess (if close to 10k).

The effort for just 10k. Look at the absolute numbers. Eg if your next best alternative is 2.6% :

10k at 3% gives $25 monthly. 10k at 2.6% gives $21.67 monthly. For just $3.33 more per mth you need to manage another account.

ok can treat this 10k @ 3% as like ur first 10k for any account and possibly not touching it

It is not like you just do it once and forget about it. Still need to make sure you top up every cycle.

Sure, can set standing instructions.

or can always merry-go-round every other month with the $10k, with an account that offers at least 2.5% to 'break even':

month 1: Singlife 3.5%
month 2: bank A 2.5%, any higher is a plus
month 3: Singlife 3.5%
...

Please note, once top up, the additional 0.5% will only payout on the following mth (based on your qualifying period), not next month
I mean if so much hassle just for couple of dollars, i wouldnt do it, too much work to track
Just leave it there for 3% for 10k and only $25

Didnt read into details of tncs but,
does leave 10k, top up +$800 on last day of cycle, -$800 on day1 of cycle works? :o

No it won't, it's nett +$800 for the month, not simply a deposit of $800. Your nett is actually $0 in this case.

But it's not based on a calendar month but rather each person's account opening date monthly cycle right?

I think you didn't read properly... it's "cycle" not "month"

always topup on the last day of the cycle so that the next day onwards you can enjoy the +0.5% liao.

Monthly cycle, happy? If you -$800 on the first day of the cycle, and +800 on the last day of the cycle, nett is $0.

ic thanks, as i said i didnt read into the tncs for the clear definitions so taking your explanation, it takes into account withdrawal(s) wthin the period i.e an incremental balance instead of a just a "top up tracker".
So in that case, can only do alternate +0.5% with topup 1 month, withdraw following month rinse & repeat
