how long does it take to open the account? is it instant?

Instantly with Singpass + MyInfo.
Mine was opened recently, just a few days ago. Tested transfer in and out....also quite fast.

U have at least $100 in acct? I just added bank account. No issue.

Later must keep at least $100 in account value to prevent it to be closed.

I just installed the app and applied for the SingLife account using MyInfo...already verified email too.

But when I open the app...it just says pending application...no reply from them when I whatsapp them too

I guess speed of application approval depends on luck?

But you are not trapped in the interest rate in the event it changes as you can exit any time while keeping the monthly interest that it already credited.

Unlike certain endowments that have to commit xx years and rate are not guaranteed.

Think of it as if it's a regular bank high interest account. The bank will also "guarantee" you the high interest yields... until they don't, by changing the T&Cs.

Yeah, I meant that. In opposition to the indicative yield of some other products, that are marketed with a yield of let's say "up to 1.8% pa", but subject to market conditions...

Here, until they change the T&C, the yield is guaranteed to be exactly 2.5% pa (save maybe small rounding error depending on month length).
